This is not the first time a high profiled person has criticised the airlines, in May 2013, a prominent member of the Irish band Westlife, Brian McFadden took to Twitter to complain about Ryanair’s decision to charge him to print his boarding pass. McFadden took the train to London rather than pay for Ryanair’s excessive charges.
The 2012 report into airline extra charges revealed that both Ryanair and easyJet both netted over £750million in extra charges for 2012 alone.
