Ryanair strike action in Spain due to failed working conditions and pay negotiations

Spanish Ryanair employees are currently employed under Irish contracts complying with Irish law, instead of Spanish contracts. Disputes coming to a head the past summer over working conditions, pay and contracts have not been solved yet, resulting in continuous strike action for Ryanair Spain. Various employees in other European countries have come to an agreement with Ryanair on working conditions and salary. Spain is not yet one of them.

Expected Ryanair flight disruptions this week for passengers from and to Spain

As talks are resumed, now that today’s strike is cancelled, it is not yet sure of the planned strikes of  Thursday and Sunday are still going ahead. The Union SITCPLA had for now stated that they will go ahead, so passengers flying from or to Spain this Thursday or Sunday have to prepare for possible cancellations.
