The French ATC announce a five day strike
The first strike of 2017 by the French Air Traffic Control has been announced. From March 6 to 10, the ATC of Brest and Bordeaux will stop their work activities.
2 of 5 air spaces on lockdown
Due to the strike 2 out of 5 air spaces will close. The French air space is divided by 5 districts: Paris, Reims, Marseille, Bordeaux and Brest. Our expectation is that especially traffic from the UK to Spain, Portugal and the Canary Islands.
5 day strike may be shortened
Although the Air Traffic Controllers have announced to go on strike for a total of 5 days, the past has proven that they often shorten the duration of the strike. We advise passengers to regularly check their flight status if travelling between March 6 and 10.
