Flight delayed for more than 2 hours, you have the right to be taken care of
A wildcat strike, also known as an unofficial strike, can be unexpected and leave you stranded. If your Flybe flight has been delayed by over 2 hours, you’re entitled to food, drink, and accommodation if necessary. The airline may provide vouchers for these, but if not, be sure to keep receipts to claim expenses from the airline later.
You are not required to accept an alternate flight from Flybe
In case of a disruption, the airline must offer you an alternative flight free of charge. The airline should provide you with the first possible flight, but if all the next flights are fully booked, you might receive an alternative option that may not make sense for your travel plans.
You have the right to decline the proposed flight. The airline must then refund you the ticket price. If the airline does not offer you an alternative or if you find a better option yourself, the airline must reimburse you for the price difference between the two tickets.

There may be few alternative flights available from other airlines. Of course, you want to secure another flight as soon as possible. If the airline’s own employees, such as pilots, cabin crew, or ground staff, go on strike, Flybe may be held responsible. Under Regulation 261/2004, this is not considered a case of force majeure, and you are entitled to compensation if you arrive more than 3 hours late or 1 hour early.
The amount of compensation you receive depends on the distance you traveled and whether your flight was canceled less than 2 weeks before your scheduled departure.

- €250 compensation for flights up to 1500 km
- €400 compensation for flights over 1500 km
Flight destinations outside the EU:

- €400 compensation for flights between 1500 km and 3500 km
- €600 compensation for flights over 3500 km
